Tecno Camon 16 Premier – Full Phone Specifications, Reviews & Price in Nigeria
Tecno will be launching the Camon 16 series smartphones through an AR event on September 3. The company has made a YouTube listing for the live launch which will start streaming at 10.15pm in September 3. The phone will have high-end camera features such as a 64-megapixel quad rear camera, but the company has also been tweeting about the phone with the hashtag #MoreThanACameraPhone. The Camon 16 series will be the direct successor of the Camon 15 series, released in February this year. Tecno hasn’t revealed where the upcoming phone will be available for purchase, but it is likely to be in the company’s key markets such as Nigeria, India, and Pakistan.

Camon 16 specifications

The flagship phone by Tecno will come with a 6.9-inch dual dot-in display. It packs a 48-megapixel dual front camera, which has an ultra-wide-angle selfie camera. As mentioned before, the Camon 16 will have a quad camera that has a primary 64-megapixel sensor camera, which is noticeably higher than the Tecno Camon 15’s main camera, which is 48-megapixel.

This smartphone has a massive 6.9-inch Full HD display and it comes with a 90Hz refresh rate — the first of its kind on any TECNO smartphone. It also has the punch-hole dual selfie cameras (48 MP main + 8 MP ultrawide) seated in the display. The fingerprint scanner has also been placed on the right side of the device, this time.

On the rear of the device, you have a square camera array, similar to that of the Infinix Zero 8, that houses a quad-camera setup of a 64 MP Sony IMX686 sensor main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide-angle shooter, and two 2MP units for night shots.

The jaw-dropping feature of the Camon 16 Premier has to be the powerful Mediatek Helio G90T chipset, the same chipset that powers the Infinix Zero 8. And yes, this device comes with a 33W fast charger to power the 4,500 mAh battery.

Price and Availability

The TECNO Camon 16 Premier costs about N115,800 ($275) and is only available for pre-order in Nigeria at the time of writing this post. We will update you when it becomes available in stores for purchase.
